Coworking: when 1 + 1 add up more than 2

Coworking is imposed: this form of collaborative work, which allows to freelancers, entrepreneurs and SMEs in various sectors share the same workspace, fosters personal projects and the collective impulse.

As Marta G. Navarro reminds, journalist and co-worker, half a Coworking user is freelance or work in remote. "You are looking for a friendly and professional environment in which to carry out their work, visits and meetings. There is a tendency to confuse the coworking with collaborative work and even cooperative. And no, only formal involvement of the coworker with space is the monthly fee paid by the use of the facilities. It would formally be involvement similar to we have a gym. The difference lies in that a coworking is managed as a human and professional community".

Another aspect that stands out is that people responsible for the shared space, are also facilitators: help the new coworker joined giving the keys necessary and by internal dynamics such as sightseeing tours, themed lunch... or generating distribution spaces of encounter (office, rest areas, etc.). A coworking agenda often includes professional events and networking activities open to the public, serving to give to know the activity of the space and expand the community.

For Marta, the immediate work on a coworking benefit resides in nearby have different profile professionals, experts in various areas. "Without getting up from your post, you get casual orientation and even you can call budget in areas such as web programming, communication and translation... As many as activities develop the rest of coworkers. In the United States, where born the coworking and years that it is implanted, the spaces are more or less expensive as high and specialized that is the profile of users", recalls.

"Synergies arise, inevitably, from own coexistence. At the heart of workINcompany, coworking space pioneer in Andalusia where I work, has already born a traditional beer company, a communications agency and several technology startups, as well as a multitude of collaborations. And is that working between freelancers eliminates traditional barriers that would hire a worker, in addition to promoting a relationship based on the achievement of objectives and productivity", stands out. In his opinion, this new model comes to say that the future of industrial relations through, inter alia, by collaboration.
